Women's DMR Team Breaks Record

Lacey Bleazard, Sarah Edwards, Nachelle Mackie and Katie Palmer combined to break the Dempsey Indoor Track Facility and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation distance medley record with a fourth-place finish in the event in 11:01.35 on February 24, 2012 in Seattle, Washington.

The team automatically qualified for the NCAA National Championships with the time. Although the Cougars broke both the facility and meet records, they still finished behind teams from Washington, Oregon and California.

In the lone individual distance event final of the day, Kendra Christensen led the Cougars in the 5000m in 17:28.59. Just behind Christensen were teammates Rachel Lange and Stephanie Jensen-Bills, who finished in 17:37.06 and 17:56.68, respectively.
